Preparation and Safety

Cooking instructions: Oven

To oven cook from chilled: 18 minutes Before Cooking: Preheat oven. Remove all packaging. Wrap fish in lightly oiled foil to form a parcel. Place on a baking tray on the middle shelf of the oven. After Cooking: Check food is piping hot. As the natural thickness and size of the fish and the performance of cooking appliances varies this is a guide only.

 

Cooking instructions: Poach

To poach from chilled. If freezing at home, defrost thoroughly before cooking. Low heat. 7 mins Before cooking: Remove all packaging. Place fish into a suitably sized pan. Cover with milk or water, bring to the boil, then reduce to a simmer. During cooking: Cook for 7 minutes. After cooking: Check food is piping hot. As the natural thickness and size of the fish and the performance of cooking appliances varies this is a guide only.

 

Cooking instructions: ShallowFry

To pan fry from chilled but can also be oven cooked or poached. If freezing at home, defrost thoroughly before cooking. Before cooking: Remove all packaging. Preheat 1 tablespoon (15ml) of oil in a frying pan. Once the oil is hot add the fish to the pan skin side down During cooking: Cook for 8-9 minutes on a medium heat, turning half way through cooking. After cooking: Check food is piping hot. As the natural thickness and size of the fish and the performance of cooking appliances varies this is a guide only.
